So recently I've noticed that my car has a lack of power. At times, if not most times, it wont accelerate as fast as before, and sometimes it wont accelerate at all!. once it refused to accelerate, the check engine light was going crazy and this weird continuous sound was coming form my engine, but soon after it went away and hasn't come back since. What is wrong with my car? and how much do you think the cost will be to fix this? thanks! someone suggested a tune up, would that help?

The first thing to do is have the computer scanned to determine trouble codes. The codes will indicate where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will scan it for free, so have that done and let me know what you find.

Tried it, nothing relevant came up. Just the p0420 code and one that says I need to replace the heating sensor

Do you have a live scanner? I would like to know how the heated O2 sensor is reacting. Also, I would like to know if the coolant temp sensor is reading correctly.
