Hello,
The Secondary Air Injection (AIR) system helps reduce exhaust emissions. It forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust system to improve catalyst operation.
If the secondary air injection system does not work properly, it can trigger the check engine light. It could be due to an inoperative pump or leak in the system etc.
There are few different codes that can get triggered due to the AIR system, knowing the code number can help determine the proper diagnostics and repair.

Let me know what code(s) you are getting. It can help with the diagnostics.
I have attached little more information on the AIR system as well as replacement diagrams for your reference.
Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
