Why does my ECM I fuse keep blowing out? What does it control and how do I fix the problem?

The ECM I fuse keeps blowing. When it does, it shuts down the vehicle.

So I don't know all the mechanical words for all the parts but I'll try. Blonde and a woman here!My blazer did the same thing! Couldn't drive it for 4 months. Replaced everything possible. Easy fix! If yours is a carburator and fuel injection 4.3l, take the air cleaner off and you'll see the fuel injector pigtail connectors. Should be 4 wires. I had 1 pinched/bent wire. Straightened it out, replaced the ECM1 fuse and it started and runs great! Let me know if that works for ya!

There are several items on that circuit that could be causing the short. You need to be able to isolate each item to find the failure. It is not as easy as you think.
