2000 Oldsmobile Alero Car won't start

The car is not starting, when you turn the key it just clicks once. We replaced the starter and battery. It still just clicks once, and won't start. It was running fine and I came out of work last week and the click. I would appreciate any idea's. I tried reseting the security system I read somewhere but that didn't help.
