How much PAG oil 150 goes into my new ac compressor for my 2000 Chevy Venture? The van has front and rear ac. The manual does not specify how much PAG oil goes into the compressor. Does all of the required 11 oz. Go into the compressor, or half into the compressor, and the other half into the receiver drier? Do I have to flush the rear ac lines and replace the expansion valve and how is this done? Also can the evaporator be flushed?

Proper way to do it is first does it already have oil in it? Second the oil should have been drained from old one to see how much is in there. But put no more than 3 oz in

Hi and thank you for the response. There was less than an ounce in the compressor when it came out and it looked like the clutch area had a leak. So no more than 3 ounces in the compressor. Is there a way to flush the rear ac lines?

Here is proper way to do it with the proper chemical.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeqhOqK1TNA you will also have to replace your orfice and filter as well as receiver drier on this due to the compressor going out as it probably put shavings in the system. actually you probably only need to do the condenser as most of it will end up there.
