Hi, I own a 2000 bmw 318i se 1.9ltr, only had it two months, since then I have noticed the orange oil light came on from time to time then a week later the eml light came on and there was a lack of power plus it misfires when you floor it? I have checked all the obvious and changed a few perished vac pipes and the breather pipe, had the valve tested etc. I do not have access to a diagnostic tool so im hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction.
any ideas
kind regards
andy

The electronic oil level sender is turning on the light, BMW has a bulletin on this. Replacement of the sender and recoding the lamp control module is the solution. The EML issue may require more than I can provide in this forum, you need to seek out a BMW repair facility to have the fault codes extracted. The results will then guide the repairs.
