Why is the car emitting excessive amounts of blue colored exhaust and is slow to accelerate

Just put oil in the car and now the car is emitting excessive amounts of blue colored exhaust and is slow to accelerate. Is it possible I may have put to much oil in the car and if so is this a major problem

Was it slow to acellerate or did it blow blue smoke before you added oil?If not you probably put too much oil in it. Pull the dipstick and check the oil level. If its over full drain the oil level down to the full level. Then drive the car to get it to stop blowing oil. Let me know what you find.
