The car tends to jerk forward when accelerating from a stand still but it doesn't do it all the time, it sometimes will do it when accelerating to a higher speed from like 40-55 mph as an example but the problem does go away after a few seconds. There is no check engine light but does any one have any ideas on what I should check or look for, if you need any additional info just tell me I'ill get it to you.

Mass Air Flow sensors will act like that but it may be hard to verify.

So I drove the car around today with no problems at all with the acceleration but I am still looking into it, also something else caught my attention which is a hissing sound from under the hood, is this more than likely a vacuum leak?

Can the maf sensor be cleaned or will I just have to replace it, I'm still looking into this problem. Want to get the car running good before the snow gets here

Cleaning wouldn't do anything for a problem like that.
