Check for a broken coil spring and for the tire tipped in or out on top. Measure the ride height from the ground to two matching points on each side of the car. If the height is off by over an inch, suspect the coil spring. Be careful when feeling around as the broken ends can be very sharp. It is also common for them to puncture the sidewall of the tire.
The lower struts' mounting bolt holes have to be made adjustable when an alignment is needed. If the mounting bolts are not tightened sufficiently, they can let the strut move and greatly affect the alignment. In that case you will see the top of the tire tipped in or out a bunch.
