I have a 1999 Nissan Altima. Periodically, my rpms will drop and come back up. This happens sometimes when I'm driving but mainly happens at random when I'm idling. When idling it will go from the normal 750 rpms down to almost killing then go back up several times until it kills. I'm wondering what could be causing this to happen. I have already replaced the fuel filter.

Get some choke cleaner and clean the throttle plate on both sides as well as the iac hole. The car will start hard after this. Make sure the duct work is hooked up before starting.
