I have found a 99 mazdaa 626 for sale. Was told the water pump is bad, it will turn over but will not start. My question is how would I be able to tell if it has a cracked head and would it be worth the $500 that is being asked for it.

1st you need to, get it to start and then block and pressure test it

I would save you $500 and look else where, this may be a very expensive cheap car inn the long run.
