Honda 2000 Civil LX - rebuilt by someone after being totalled. Distributor was replaced back in May, ran fine for a month, then started missing and firiing oddly then just died. Started up was able to run but it ran rough and shaky.

Where we are now, spark plug cables have been replaced, need firing order to check and see if is correct. Also, the intake tube is MISSING, don't know who took off but an auto parts employee said that is okay - what is it called and do we need it, would the car run better if it were on?

My wife purchased new spark plug wires and plugs. She took off all of the plugs from the distributor cap and I don'y know which order to put them back on. Do you know which wire goes to which plug? If not, would it hurt the engine if the car was started and the plug wires were not connected correctly to the distributor cap? If the car can be started without causing damage, how can I tell if the wires are on the correct distributor terminal?

What is the firing order on a d16y8. Car will not start. What about in the engine? Which is cylinder number one? And when checking the timing the number one cylinder is top dead center which way should the distributor rotor be pointed?
