Hello, I have a Intake Manifold gasket leak. It is both of the gaskets but its not coolant, it is a vacuum leak. This had been going on for around 15000 miles. I have been told the gasket is not bad enough to replace yet. My engine will sometimes(once in a while) rev up between 1st and 2nd gear and slip when it stops. It is start really rough acting like the battery is dead. The engine is a 4.0L V6 OHV with 205550 miles. How much worse can this get and when do reconmend repair? What other problems can this cause? Is it too late to fix?

PS I did an Oil Change at 203000, when do you recommend another one?

I recommend the repair now. If it is running that badly, it should be fixed before other issues start. It could stall when you pull into traffic.

Yes, you can get coolant leaks. However, it is hard for me to say when.

Based on your description, I would say no. It will continue to get worse.
