Hey guy I have a problem ok the car is a 99 ford contour SE 2.5 duratec motor ok now my problem stars out with that it makes a noise every so often on cold days only it sound like a tea kettle sound but in a loud way I been hearing the noise coming form the air filter housing so I check it I found out the duct that connect to the intake was loose so I tighten it up and it stop but when I start to reverse back to leave it started back up that kettle sound again when I start to turn my wheel all the way to the left or to the right and also when I reverse, it shuts off, now I ask a few people that I know and they tell me the a possible PCV Valve had collapse but I had check all rubber hoses no cuts or cracks I even sprayed some carb/throttle cleaner and nothing other one I have not tried is some soapy water in a spray bottle? But still can not find where is this PCV Valve so I don't know if these problem are a part of it?
So please let me know thanks and I don't know remember if the Mileage is at 132,000 or 150,000- 175,000

The PCV valve is located in the valve cover. As far as the noise, are you certain there are no vacuum leaks?

To the best of my knowledge, there is only one PCV. There has to be a vacuum leak causing the noise.
