I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan. The heat quit working. The first thing I did was check the antifreeze level and made sure it was correct. Next, I checked to see if the heater core hoses were both hot, and fortunately they both were too hot to handle. A few weeks prior some soda spilled on the bezel and some of the buttons were sticky. So I removed the bezel and Heater Control Module and cleaned it up. I tried it again and the heat worked for about a minute then went to cool air. I did the calibration test and am now confused. During the test, hot air blew out of the defrost but then went to cool air. After waiting roughly 2-minutes the LED lights quit and I waited for some kind of blinking to give me an error or pass or whatever. This is the thing, it did nothing? It didn't give me a pass or fail? Does this mean it passed or is my Control Module fried?

if all the lights are out, the system is back on line. you need a shop to check and see if there are any codes in your hvac module. not something you can check with a code reader.
