My vehicle locks up occasionally when stopping

Sometimes when I come to a stop there is a clunk in the front end and the car will not move after that. It will shift in to drive, reverse, and neutral but the car will not move. After a few minutes the front will make another clunk sounds and the car will go as if nothing ever happened. But today it happened again and now it will only go in reverse. Please help me!!!

get it to a shop and have them check the suspension and the brakes to see what is causing this failure. i would not drive this till the situation is resolved.
