Ok, you are most likely looking at $400 - $600 for the pump through a garage and labor to be about the same. Now if you can handle the job you can save about $700 or so. You can purchase the part over the counter at a parts store for between $260 and $340.
You can call around to your local parts store to get prices. When you do when they give you the price ask them what the list price is.
