Charging System Problems

Yes the battery light does com on and after it is running it stays on

Check fuse blocks, fuses, wire to fuse block. Battery wire, Fusible link good continuity from solenoid to alternator, Alternator and Battery tested good bought new ones in case. Alternator connections good. Battery connections are solid. Starter wires good even ground. Made extra grounds just in case. There are 3 little wires on alternator. There is a brown wire I hooked 12v to it Battery light goes off its charging. Does this wire go to the PCM. If so could my PCM be malfunctioning because I changed the coil pack it was off a diff model gm. It looked the same. It fit in there fine. But is my PCM freaking out because of it

I am having the same problem from a 84 cavalier three alts and two batteries later and its just sitting out there dead all my wires and grounds r goo its like the battery only charges sometimes. Please let me know what u figure out this is so frustrating

I have a 1993 chev cavalier. It has a new battery (reads 12.65 volts) and bench tested altenator (good). The battery is not charging. Noticed the battery warning light does not come on when the ignition is turned on or come on when engine is running. I was informed that the light is hooked up in series with the altenator and if it is burned out it won't send a signal to altenator to charge battery. How do I remove/replace the bulb?
