I have a 95 lesbare custom and im having issues with it starting consistantly, as well as staying running once it does start. I took it somewhere and the replaced the crank sensor, but that didnt fix the problem. When it stalls, it feels like the fuel is being shut off. I replaced the fuel pump relay, but im still having the same problem. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Has PCM been checked for codes? Check engine light on? Has fuel pressure been tested? Recent repairs?

The fuel pressure has been tested but I dont always hear the pump turn on when I turn the key. None of the lights are on unless the car stalls. When it stalls the oil, battery, and engine lights come on but when its running theres no lights on. The only thing ive done recently other than what I stated in my question is my front wheel bearings and the water pump and gasket.

Hi stretch1967,

It should be at the passenger compartment relay centre, behind right side of dash.

Here is a guide to help you test the relay once you find it from the diagrams below.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers,

Will an AutoZone be able to read obd1? They said the crank sensor was pertty worn and could have been the problem. Im not sure what IAC stands for so I cant really answer that lol.

I dont know if they checked the IAC. They did try replacing the mass air flow sensor but that did nothing as well.

I need to find out which one of the relays is the fuel pump relay.

The relays are located in the maxifuse / relay center which is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, mounted against the fire wall. There are two fuse boxes, and a row underneath of relays.

Which one of those relays is the fuel pump relay?

Hello, my info just says position H for the fuel pump relay, like, abcdefg-. If you can see the wiring colors for the connector, you can double-check, gray-- black with white tracer--red-- dark green with white tracer-- pink with black tracer.

There also should be a fuel pump prime connector behind/around the battery, red wire with connector, nothing plugged into it. If you use a jumper wire and run B+ to the connector, the pump should run, use an inline fuse. That way you can run the pump without using the key, just for testing.
