The electric locks on my 1998 Volvo V70 work intermittently. It is strange when it is cool or cold outside they work, when it is hot they don't. This issue is both with the remote and door lock switch in the car. Haven't found any help on the net so far

Check the wiring between the door and the door frame. The wiring there has a chance to break down and not work properly as a result of the door opening and closing so often.

Checked wiring no problems there. Also note that I hear all the door actuators clicking and a clicking behind the dash. The locks move slightly but wont fully engage.

Check voltage at lock actuator, make sure it is getting 12V.
