My power steering pump was making a crazy noise and come to find out, all it needed was fluid. I put Dexron II tanny fluid in it and it fixed that problem. Then I replaced my idler/compresor belt and crunk it up and noticed a constant grinding noise which wasnt occuring before the repairs. I also noticed that the harmonic balancer pulley was constantly wobbling but im not sure if that is the grinding noise I am hearing.

First check the center bolt on the damper / balancer to be sure it hasn't worked loose. If the bolt is tight suspect the outer ring and pulley has broken free on the rubber strip sandwiched between them. All auto parts stores have large catalogs showing replacement dampers as this has become a common problem.
