I have been looking at buying a cold air intake and I need to know if they really can save you fuel.I dry my truck very easy and dont get into it very much.I average around 21 mpg. It would be great if I could get around 24 or 25. Thanks

Im not sure if you will get another 3-4 mpg, that is quite an increase. It should get you a little, so will a cat-back exhaust system. Do you have car or truck tires on it? Ie; P245 is a pass car and a LT245 is a truck, the difference being the truck tires usually have higher air pressure ratings and will roll with less resistance

The only thing they could hurt is the ability of moisture to get into the intake system, other than that, they dont hurt anything

If you put in a cold air intake I think you will get at least 1-2 more mpg. Not that big but it will help you save money.

Cold air intakes do reduce fuel economy especially if you get the right type. I have been using Volant Cold Air Intakes and it not only reduces my fuel intake but also increases my vehicles horsepower and torque.
