can a alternator make a squealing noise

i change my water pump and the tension pulley when i start the car up i hear a chirping noise but when i rev it i hear a squealing noise it sounds like its coming from the alternator i can hear it when im driving

belt is slipping causing noise.may need new belt and/or tensioner.

check that no coolant is still dripping on the belt.u may to clean the belt with brakecleaner.u may have to replace it.
