Started up let warm up 10 mins was bout 5 degrees out drove bout 4 miles started knocking lost heat pulled over put oil in it quieted it down drove bout 4 more miles it lost power started knocking and died smoke from hood relized not alot of antifreeze in it not wont start could it have gotten hot and jumped time

That's not a good sign. Timing isn't your issue. Overheating these engines even once will do serious internal damage. According you your question, you were seriously low on both oil and coolant. If you're going to treat a car like that, you're likely going to be buying an engine.
