i have had a new ignition barrel and key put in my honda civic 1.5i,vtec,everything working okay,but my car wont give the final kick,i have been told that i may need a secuirtey code or the key flashed,due to the immobiliser

Are you sure you r vehicle is equipped with immobilizer?
Is there a green key symbol in dash and does it blink when you are attemptng to crank the engine?

Did you check/test the clutch pedal switch?
Are you able to turn the key all the way?
Is the igniton swith installed correctly and did you check if it is faulty?
