I ended up swapping out my instrument cluster for another that had gray finish. However, when hooked up all connections the temperature gauge went all the way up. ended getting to others and same problem, now ever. The original I had in is not working. please advise.

Hello my name is Dave.

My first thought would be a faulty sending unit, I have attached a photo of the location for both the four cylinder and the V6. I would start by disconnecting the plug from the sending unit, turning the key and see if you still have the same problem. If the gauge remains at its lowest point then installing a new sending unit should cure the problem. If the gauge still goes to the max reading then you have a ground somewhere in your wiring. This is a link to our tutorial on electrical systems to help you if it is a wiring issue: https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-car-electrical-system-works. I have also attached the wiring diagrams to help you trace the wires. I hope this helps you resolve your problem and thank you for using 2CarPros!
