My truck has a problem with a clunking noise in the front end while braking. It has a 4.6 L engine in it with 2WD Rotors are fine as well as calipers and pads. any idea what this noise is? it also happens slightly when moving back and forth while moving forward.

With truck jacked up take wheel and rotate back and forth to see if you can hear noise. You might want to rock wheel in and out to see if this makes unusual noise.

This sounds like something has loosened up.
Time to get out the wrenches just check the fasteners until you find what has loosened up.
Start by checking lug nuts.
Brake calipers, (I just had these loosened up on me recently).
Next move to where CV axel bolts to transmission.
While doing these checks just keep your eyes open for anything else that looks out of place like anything that jumps out as being broken.
Good luck,
Paul

If its only while braking then something is moving. I would say it is either the caliper bushings that are worn or the caliper hardware allowing the pads to move.
