How can I check the gas flow out of my fuel filter in a 1998 Dodge Stratus before replacing it?

The way I check fuel filters for flow is remove them and all the gas in them. Then see if I can freely blow air thur it not with a air compressor. Do you have any codes?Have you tested fuel pressure?

Thanks, decided just to change it, it didn't work. Had it plugged in got many different answers, says it's misfiring. Car starts hard idles rough and then smooths out somewhat, hit the gas hard and it stalls, gradual and it keeps running although roughly. Already changed plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, throttle positioning sensor, cleaned the EGR valve and changed the fuel filter, grrr. Trying a test run to see if there might still be air in the line from changing the filter. Thanks KIMWHOSEREALLYSICKOFTRYINGTOFIXMY CAR. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE FAST RESPONSE, I COULD SCREAM!
