My son's Trunk Lock assembly fell off today. It's hanging on by the electrical wire connector. I cannot find instructions as to how to fix it. There are no bolts or nuts holding it on. The inside of the "R" emblem only has two small, rounded nibs that fit into the holes in the body. There is a thin, long metal bar that fits through a "keyhole-like" opening on the backend of the lock mechanism. I do not see how this assembly mounts to the body without any bolts. Please provide any insight you may have. It is greatly appreciated. :)

There should be a relatvely flat clip that holds the lock in to the trunk lid. Check to see if it fell somewere in the trunk.

Always look at it as how did it go together on the assembly line with the least amount of effort. Screws and bolts take WAY too long. Look for two slots on the sides of the assembly and a push-on metal clip that fell off. The fingers on those clips have a slight curve to them to keep them retained. You mat have to bend them a little to add some strength. You can also put a small dab of gasket sealer on them to glue them in place.
