What is the idling speed?
Were the spark plug wires checked?
Do you have coolant losses and/or overheating issues?
Did problem occur before or after timing belt replacement?

No the engine light does not turn on, and for that reason it cannot be diagnosed.I was told by a mechanic that by changing the timing belt the problem woulb be solved, no luck. The car does not overheat, and the spark wires were changed when I changed the spark plugs.I change the oil every 3000 miles with full synthetic oil. The idle was also adjusted. I aso made a mistake the year of the car is 99 not 97

The timing belt has nothing to do with stalling.

I asked for the idling speed but it has not been provided.
If idling speed is too low or erratic, it would result in stalling.

It could be due to the idling circuit being restricted due to dirt clogging the air passages.

It could also be due to tight valve clearances.
