My Toyota's AC will be ice cold when you first crank the car up for the day and most of the time the air will stay cold until you cut off car. When you crank the car back up and turn on the ac again it will blow hot air ( once in a while it will blow cold when AC is cut on the 2nd time but not often ) I check the temperature of the AC and it runs around 35° to 37°. I have had it vacuum out and new Freon put in. Did not change anything. I did notice the gauges when the man had them on my car's AC. The low side show 0 the high side read around 2 or 3 hundred. One man wanted to put a new compressor and dryer on my car , but when I ask if this would fix it he didn't think it would. I live on fixed income and I can not afford to keep taken my car to AC people to look at it and not fixing it. No one don't know what is wrong with it. Can you help me please?

You really need an AC expert to examine this car. It sounds like there could be a restriction, possibly the expansion valve but that needs to be determined in person. AC is a lot more complicated that most people think and it requires a lot of observation and experience.

Hi,
The people I have been taking my car to were suppose to have been AC expert. They have been working on auto Air Conditioner for many years. One of them told me he has never came across a AC that would be cold when you first cut it on for the day and not stay cold. That is why I went online to try to find some help in finding the problem with my AC.
I would appreciate any and all help in finding the problem with my AC. I will have the expansion valve check. Is there a way I can check it?

As I already stated, you need an AC expert to examine the car. Obviously this guy is NOT an AC expert. Many shops think they are but most are not. I am in South Florida and even here there are few true AC experts. It takes a lot of experience in refrigeration to analyze what the system is doing. This is not something ou are going to learn on the Internet
