I dont under stand if car warms up I wait about 6 hours for it to cool off and will start and run great but if I restar it it runs rought on idle and atemps to stall

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned for codes. Most parts stores will do it for free. When it doesn't start, see if you are getting spark and fuel to the engine.
