Car overheated for some reason not sure why, I found a crack in the radiator, so I replaced radiator with a used one from a salvage, and I also put in a new thermostat. The car still wants to get hot, but I do not see any loss of flud from water pump or heater core. I have hear d of them getting an air pocket, but not sure how this would happen, or how to check it. Radiator is full, and there seems to be no fluid leaking, not sure what to do next.

The air gets in there from the coolant running low in the first place. Judging by the way you tried to repair this I would guess that you probably waited way too long before repairing too. You could have serious internal damage now such as a blown head gasket or cracked head. You really need to let an expert perform some tests on it. That junkyard radiator could be just that. Junk.
