how do you know if your camshaft is bad.my problem is my ac compressor belt broke. i replace it .now a thumbing noise is coming from the crankshaft pulley that the ac belt go on.the new belt came off.it look like the pulley is warped.

Check the rubber part of the crank shaft pulley. Thay fall apart amd will do that.
