1997 Nissan Hardbody Ses Light Came On Truck Would Lose Power Act Running Out

SES light came on and truck would lose power and act like it was running out of gas. Performed a scan MAF sensor failure. Bought an after market MAF sensor. Installed the new sensor. Cleared the code. Truck will not idle and stalls out. SES came back on MAF sensor failure. Truckruns better with old
MAF sensor. Also when outside temature cool/cold truck runs fine. Also trucks mpg is poor. What should i do next?

Check the wiring of the MAF and if everything is good, use OEM MAF for replacement.

Aftermarket maf sensor and map sensor are garbage.Trust me don't waste your money. I wound up having to buy a cardone 126.00 and it worked fine until like the Chinese made sensors for 10.00. On line.

JCLEMO, That unfortunately is the quality of many aftermarket parts these days, and it has been getting worse.

Amen the cheap maf sensor sold on eBay are a rip off. You have to buy a reputable name brand or your wasting your money.Ebay seller admitted he will not sell after market maf sensors because of the failure rate. JC
