We don't get involved with costs here because there's way too many variables, but you can expect it to run six to eight times more than on any other car brand. The windshield wiper motor will have to be removed to make room to lift the engine up almost completely out of the car. There's a cross member running directly under the oil pan on Fords that is in the way. Raising the engine is the only way to get the pan off. To add to the insult, it is real common for their oil pans to rust through and leak, especially if you live up here in road salt country. We see rusted oil pans more often than simple leaking gaskets. If you live where they throw a ton of salt on an ounce of snow, be sure it's not the pan itself that's leaking. You don't want to go through this repair a second time.
