I have a 1997 mustang gt I was diveing it and overheated it a blew the head gasket(so I thought ) but it would still run it was just hard to start so I was trying to get it home with it burning coolent eventualy I shut it off to let it cool down and wen I tryed to start it it would crank like normal and then act like it sezed up n then crank like normal n then do the same thing all over agine I assumed it was hydro locking so I redid the headgaskets and wen I tryed to start it it is doing the same thing sounds like a piston and valve are colideing but if I turn it over with a rachet it turns just fine any idas of what the problem could be

Do a compression test to start.
Was any of the pistons cleaned off like steamed cleaned?
Are you sure of the cam timing?

Did u have the heads checked for cracks?Remove the plugs and try and start it is it the same? Watch for fluid coming out of one of the spark plug holes.

Do what I asked and when u do what roy asked leave the gauge on. Check the gauge in 10 min. It should read the same no leak down the same #.
