I have a 97' Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. My tail lights, interior lights, dash lights, door locks, OBDII port and radio just quit working one morning. I noticed that when I would pull the light switch on to the parking light position all the lights would come on as I pulled the switch. But when the switch locked into position they stopped working. Only if I held the switch almost in the locked position will everything work properly. I installed a new switch, same thing happened. Could this be a ground problem in one of the circuits associated with the switch?

it could be a ground problem but it would be due to the switch adding power. Check your body ground/battery ground. i'm, sending along a tip thing that other professional peolle have found with this very sme problem. it sounds as it your s may have the same.
