Brake lights 1997 Suburban

My brake lights in my 1997 suburban are not working, fuse is good and so are the bulbs, this hs happened all of a sudden
the top running brake strip is working- the back up lights are working- and turn signals

You'll haveto check yoru brake light switch. It's a two position switch, one for the high mount brake light and the other for the rear brake light. It may also be your turn signal switch, especially if you have power going in and none coming out for the brake lights. Those should be the yelllow and green wires coming out of the switch. Also there is a connector board at the back of the frame on the driver's side that may be going bad as well.
