Ok I have been trying to solve a blower motor problem. I have a new blower motor, a new resistor, a new control switch panel, a new relay, and a new fuse. I get no voltage (when checking with multimeter) on high setting at blower motor connector, purple wire. I do get voltage when testing at connector (purple wire) at the low settings. The black ground wire there is good. When I use a jumper wire at relay terminals 30 and 87 I get the motor to run, but it will run with key off and with key on. Strange! I just not sure what to do next. When I test at relay terminal I get 87 terminal hot at all times, when I use low heat settings I get voltage at 87 and 87A(resistor). When I put it on High I get voltage at 87 and 86 ( Switch) My ground 85 is good. Going crazy. Please Help!

Are you sure the new resister is good? Also, when you say you get no voltage on high setting, at what point in the system are you checking? Are you sure none of the wiring harness pins are pushed in or damaged?

Yes tested it, I get no voltage(car ignition on, turn heat setting to high, I don't get a reading, I get a reading on the other settings. This testing is at the blower motor connector wires. The resistor I get voltages on all the settings except High(which I think is how it should be)

Test the blower switch at high position it goes thru the blower motor relay to apply full battery voltage to the motor-with less resistances-

Let me try and give you a brake down on the wiring harness
will start at the blower motor has two wires black wire should have ground at all times
PPL wire power from the relay at diff speeds

back at the relay box (under the hood left side )
HVAC blower motor relay 4 wires and power from fuse #53 its 30A
Place the switch on high and check the ORG wire at the rear of the relay for power if no power go back to the switch and check the same color wire for power if have power repair wiring harness between switch and relay
if no power at the switch check BRN wire at the switch for power
should have power assuming other speed working and suspect bad switch
if all testing OK
lets go back to the relay
BLK wire should have good ground at all time if check for opening in the wire and ground
last wire PPL wire we are going to assume its good, because blower motor is working at diff speeds
good luck

To Bmrfixit, I have voltage at orange wire on High, Black wire(ground is good) purple wire(from the relay side)Can't get any voltage on all Settings, but at the blower motor connector, I get voltage at lower settings, not on the high one. Also when I jumper wire, and get motor to run, it runs with the ignition off, key not even in the hole!
