When I put it in gear it goes nowhere. I know it is in gear because it will not roll. In park it will not roll. In neutral it will roll. In drive or reverse it will not roll. All this is with the motor running (yes I released the parking brake). There is a proper amount of fluid in it. Ideas?

If there is no light, you need to start by checking to see if there is proper fluid pressure in the trans. The pump or converter may have gone bad.

A gauge is attached between the cooling lines to check pressure.

I don't know if they rent them. Pressure should be around 10 psi.
