Automatic tranny, 4.0L. Driving down 15-20 min on freeway. Pops out of overdrive into neutral. Shifting down to "3" doesn't help. However "1-2" gear works. Put car into neutral, turn off then on again, no problems. I have replaced the TPS, any ideas what it could be? I don't have a diag tool :(

It could be a vehicle speed sensor. Have the computer scanned to identify if there are any trouble codes stored.

Thanks Jacobandnickolas for the reply.

I found a link, and did the ignition on/off 4 times to get the engine light blinking. I didn't get anything out of the computer. I only got code 12(battery disconnect, changed battery not too long ago) and 55 (end code). I'm still baffled. Anymore input?
