Visually check for spark at the plugs. The autostore sells a spark tester, it doesnt cost much. You can use a known good spark plug. Don't take one out of engine. Take spark plug wire loose from plug, stick tester in plug boot. Ground tester to metal part of engine. Have helper crank it while you watch for spark at the tester. The spark tester should have adjustable gap.
Use a gage and check for correct fuel pressure. How long since a tune-up?
