When I start my F150 the fuel guage goes up to the full position no matter how much fule I have in the tanks. After driving approx. 3-4 miles the Fuel gauge will move to the actual level in the tank. This happens with either the front or back tank. This has been going on for over a month now with the same results each time. How can I fix this.

As strange as this may sound I think you might have a ground going bad. Maybe at the cross over switch or the cross over valve itself.

Either you have a short or a bad ground. Check wiring to the pump. If all is good, the rheostat in the tank (fuel float) may be bad.
