1996 Ford F150 fuel gauge

I have dual fuel tanks on my ford f 150 rear selector will register fuel quantity,front selector will register empty regardless of fuel quantity. Any suggestions as to what to look for as an easy fix or am I doomed to the repair shop?

chances are the float and the float arm has corroded and rusted off or the assembly itself is no good, you will probably need a new pump, but take the pump and have it tested first to make sure its the pump and not in the wiring.
