I have a 96 with a 318 it started to run bad.

I have a 96 with a 318 it started to run bad and overload with fuel so I checked vacuum it was low so I removed the cat and it started to run better I parked it then went to start it and now it will not start it fires once in awhile but will Any ideas?

I removed the cat and it started to clear up then I parked it and when I went to start it again it was like the asd was triggered I've greased all the sensor plugs replaced the cam sensor and nothing

Ok. Check for vacuum leaks. Check compression. Check the fuel pressure. Let me know what you find.

You say it was like the ASD was triggered. Meaning now it won't start? If not, make sure it has spark. What kind of fuel system is it: injected or carbureted? Injected: Make sure the injector relay and fuse are good. Carbureted:Make sure it's squirting gas down the throat.
