I'm trying to find the 30 amp(red) feed wire that runs from the rear of the truck to the "instrument panel fuse block". This red wire, along with the other RV/trailer wires(which I've located), are in a bundle (harness) at the rear. The owners manual states that the red wire is a "30 amp feed wire with an in line fuse located in the instrument fuse block with no connector". I'm familiar as to where the easily accessible fuse box is (at the end of the dash on the drivers side). However I'm wanting to know where exactly is the "other" fuse panel located. Also, does a substantial amount of under dash panels have to be removed, and will any A/C ducting have to be removed to gain access to this fuse panel? Will this red wire be easily noticeable? Thanks in advance for your time. Robb Browne

Normally chassis wire is connected to the underhood fuse box, not inside I've included a pic of where they are talking about it is underhood and should be fairly easy to access.

Thanks very much for the excellent wire diagram. I haven't gotten around to diving into this job yet, having just gotten back from a mini July 4th vacation. However, the schematic shows an area "under" the hood that I had found while initially searching for the red wire, so it's good to know that the "job" will be relatively easy. I was dreading lying under the dash in that extremely cramped driver side foot well. Not as nimble as I used to be. Thanks again. I'm off to the garage w/ my volt meter and my relieved attitude, expecting great results in no time.

Normally chassis wiring is in the underhood area connected to the underhood box in later models. It may even be bolted on one of the studs to fuse box if you have one
