The balancer came completely off? Did the bolt break, or was it not there? There is a keyway that keeps the balancer, and the crank pulley from turning on the crankshaft. If that keyway came out, its possible your timing belt is spinning the crankpulley on the shaft. Can we get any more details if you have any?
