A 1995 Pontiac Grand Am GT. It has just over 180,000 miles. It has a very bad steering problem. It is able to be driven but the steering wont allow you to turn the sharpest and you can move the steering wheel with out turning. It also has a drainage problem so if it rains a lot you most likely are going to have the floor in front of the driver and passenger will be wet.

Time for an inspection at a tire and alignment shop. If we assume both symptoms are related, there could be a ball joint ready to fall apart, the lower strut mounting bolts could be loose, or the rack and pinion assembly could be loose where it is mounted to the firewall. Any of those things can be serious enough to cause a loss of control and a crash.
