I got a 1995 pontiac firebird and when it gets under a strain like going up a hill the air cuts off until the car is out of the strain and I want to know why?It only does it when im going up a hill and the air just cuts off and stops coming out the vents until I get to the top of the hill then the air kicks back on and works just like normal until I go up another hill than the same thing happens again and I really dont know why but I would like to find out so I can get it fixed if its a problem.

This is a normal function built into the AC system. When your car is going up a hill it needs all the power it can to get up the hill and when the AC is on it uses a lot of engine power. To make this work the AC cuts out to give the engine more power to make it up the hill.
